It’s a Sign
Posted by Jenna in photography on December 10, 2010
We were challenged to find a sign that spoke to us today. I was crazy busy. Plus, it’s show week. My choir performs this Saturday and Sunday. As I drove past our theater, I saw the sign, the wreath and went, “AH-HA!” I’m so nervous, so excited and so ready for this wonderful show!

Express Yourself

I had a very cold, very fun time creating this picture. I was going for a concept/aspect of waiting while still portraying the fact that time is fleeting. This Christmas is hard — our first without Grandpa. I’m still joyous for the holiday season; I am. But there’s just a tinge of sadness attached to everything this year despite the colors and the tradition and the expectation of joy.

I had some difficulty with focus (my remote + my lens = not focusing on me) and the wind (but it was fun). It took awhile to end up with the shot above. I liked some others, but they didn’t quite have that “gasp” feeling I was going for. So I thought I’d include a few that I liked.
